Description
Calocybe Gambosa, commonly known as St. George’s Mushroom, is native to Europe. These mushrooms have a convex cap with a creamy-white color and decurrent gills. Belonging to the Tricholomataceae family, they typically grow in grassy areas, particularly in alkaline soil. St. George’s Mushroom cannot be cultivated artificially and is dependent on natural habitats. Known for their delicate flavor reminiscent of almonds, they are often sautéed or used in omelets and risottos.
